To be honest, I'm not sure anyone maintains this wallet interface, formerly known as ClassicEtherWallet, anymore. The former dev team (commonwealth) that managed it, who left ETC to create their own network to make money because they allegedly weren't finding any in ETC, have now decided to not keep running their nodes to which this wallet uses anymore. Please use another wallet.
I would strongly suggest using one that is actively maintained like Emerald, MyCrypto, or Guarda. Nothing is lost or anything so just make sure you have your private key, or whatever you used to back up the account and simply plug it into one of the wallets mentioned or if you're looking for a chrome extension I recommend the Saturn wallet, or the Nifty wallet. I've used every one of these and can't complain.
